- 1 pound Ground beef (80/20)
- 4 cups Cabbage, chopped
- 1 medium Onion, diced
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Wait until the oil shimmers before adding the onion.
- Add the diced onion to the skillet and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until it becomes translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until it's browned and no longer pink.
- Once the beef is cooked, drain any excess fat if necessary. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and stir well to combine. Pour in the soy sauce and mix thoroughly.
- Cover the skillet and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
