Description
A savory dish with colorful bell peppers, tender beef, and fluffy rice, inspired by Asian cuisine.
Ingredients
Scale:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 bell peppers (red, green, or yellow), sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet or wok, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Ensure it's fully cooked through.
- Stir in the sliced onions and garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onions are translucent.
- Add the sliced bell peppers and cook for another 3-4 minutes until they are tender yet crisp.
- Pour in the soy sauce and stir well to combine all ingredients. Cook for an additional minute to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve the beef and pepper mixture over cooked rice, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
