Tender, juicy chicken coated in a sweet and savory glaze, with a hint of nuttiness from sesame oil and seeds.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound Chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2 cup Cornstarch
1/4 cup Vegetable oil (for frying)
1/4 cup Honey
1/4 cup Soy sauce
2 tablespoons Sesame oil
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Ginger, minced
2 tablespoons Sesame seeds (for garnish)
2 Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the chicken pieces with cornstarch, ensuring they are evenly coated.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken in batches, cooking until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
