This delightful dish combines the comforting, savory taste of spaghetti with the fun, handheld appeal of tacos.
Ingredients
Scale:
8 ounces Spaghetti
1 pound Ground beef
1 packet (1 ounce) Taco seasoning
1/2 cup Water
12 Taco shells (hard or soft)
1 cup Shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
1 cup Chopped lettuce
1 cup Diced tomatoes
1/2 cup Sour cream
Instructions
Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spatula until fully cooked (about 5-7 minutes).
Drain any excess fat from the skillet, then add taco seasoning and water. Stir to combine, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Add the cooked spaghetti to the pan with the seasoned beef, tossing gently to combine all ingredients.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) if baking the taco shells. If using soft shells, skip this step.
Fill each taco shell with the spaghetti mixture, packing it in lightly. Place filled taco shells in a baking dish if baking.
Top each taco with shredded cheese. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese melts and the shells are crispy.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
Garnish with chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream. Enjoy!
