Description
A festive and flavorful taco dip perfect for Halloween gatherings, combining layers of creamy goodness, rich beans, cheese, and spices.
Ingredients
Scale:
- 1 can (15 oz) refried black beans
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 cup green onions, sliced
- 1/2 cup olives, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Hot sauce (optional, to taste)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Mix until smooth and creamy. This will be the base layer of your dip.
- Spread the refried black beans evenly in the bottom of a large, shallow serving dish. This creates a solid foundation for the layers to come.
- Top the black beans with the cream cheese mixture, smoothing it out with a spatula to create an even layer.
- Sprinkle the taco seasoning evenly over the cream cheese layer to infuse flavor throughout the dip.
- Add a generous layer of shredded cheese, covering the cream cheese mixture completely.
- Next, layer the diced cherry tomatoes, sliced green onions, and olives in a colorful assortment on top of the cheese.
- Finish by sprinkling fresh cilantro over the top for a bright, herbal touch.
- Chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld beautifully.
