Ingredients
Scale:
- Watermelon: 4 cups, cut into 1-inch thick slices
- Fresh Mozzarella: 8 ounces, sliced into ¼-inch thick rounds
- Basil: 1 cup, fresh leaves, torn
- Balsamic Glaze: ¼ cup (store-bought or homemade)
- Olive Oil: 2 tablespoons
- Salt: ½ teaspoon, to taste
- Pepper: ¼ teaspoon, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F to 425°F).
- Lightly brush both sides of the watermelon slices with olive oil.
- Place the watermelon slices on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Remove the watermelon from the grill and layer it on a serving platter with fresh mozzarella rounds.
- Sprinkle the torn basil leaves generously over the layered watermelon and mozzarella.
- Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the salad and season with salt and pepper to taste.
