A quick and satisfying dish with shrimp cooked in garlic butter, perfect for any night of the week.
Ingredients
Scale:
- 1 pound Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
- 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon Red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they turn pink and opaque.
- Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside, keeping warm.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and lemon juice. Stir to combine.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet, toss in the garlic butter sauce, and cook for another minute to heat through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
