A quick and tasty treat that combines the classic flavors of chili cheese dogs with the convenience of a casserole.
Ingredients

- 8 hot dogs, sliced
- 1 can (15 oz) canned chili (with or without beans)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until the onion becomes translucent.
- Stir in the sliced hot dogs, canned chili, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with sliced green onions if desired.
