- 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spread the apple pie filling evenly across the bottom.
- Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the apple pie filling.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the apples and caramel, making sure to cover all areas.
- Pour the melted butter over the top of the cake mix, ensuring even coverage.
- Sprinkle cinnamon and chopped nuts (if using) over the butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before drizzling the remaining caramel sauce on top.
- Serve warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
