Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound Ground beef
1 medium Onion, chopped
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 small head Cabbage, chopped
2 cups Tomato sauce
1 cup Rice, uncooked
2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Pepper
1 teaspoon Dried oregano
1 teaspoon Dried basil
1 tablespoon Olive oil
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Stir in the chopped cabbage, tomato sauce, uncooked rice, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread it evenly.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
