A delightful creation that fuses tender chicken with the savory richness of bacon and creamy cheese, becoming a beloved staple at gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale:
4 large Chicken breasts
8 slices Bacon
8 oz Cream cheese, softened
1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Onion powder
1/2 tsp Black pepper
2 tbsp Olive oil
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures that the chicken cooks evenly and the bacon crisps up nicely.
In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy.
Slice the chicken breasts lengthwise to create pockets for the cheese mixture. Be careful not to slice all the way through.
Stuff each chicken breast pocket with the cheese mixture, ensuring it is filled generously.
Wrap each st■ chicken breast with two slices of bacon, securing the ends with toothpicks if necessary.
In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, sear the bacon-wrapped chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the bacon is golden brown.
Transfer the seared chicken to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. This rest period allows the juices to redistribute, keeping the chicken moist.
